As Founder and Chief Technology Officer of BlueWave Security, Leemon Baird brings over two decades of innovation, technology expertise and leadership.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

During his career, Baird has led the invention and development of a number of technologies.  He has a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.  He was CTO and founder of Trio Security, inventing an artificial intelligence handwriting recognition system for single sign on security.  Trio was acquired by Symbol Technologies, where he then served as Director of Security Engineering.  He has been a research scientist at Wright Laboratory, and a full professor at the US Air Force Academy.  Baird has earned numerous awards for scientific research, including the selection as one of the top 5 basic research scientists in the US Air Force.  He has over 70 research publications and several patents, and continues to do research in a wide range of fields, including wireless communication, artificial intelligence, and mathematics. 

Baird led the team that invented the Baird, Bahn, and Collins algorithm, the world’s first  system for unkeyed jam resistant wireless communication.
